During my tenure as the resident DJ at Boutique Bar, a renowned martini bar on Church Street, I had the pleasure of witnessing and contributing to its vibrant nightlife for a decade. Nestled between two other popular venues, Crews and Tangos and the erstwhile George’s Play, Boutique Bar was a hotspot for an eclectic mix of patrons.

One evening, a regular patron approached me with an exciting proposition: to DJ at a house party. I gladly accepted, and the first event I hosted was a resounding success. However, the party I DJ’d last night was nothing short of legendary.

The occasion was a celebration of my client’s 7th anniversary. A diverse and energetic crowd gathered, ranging from individuals in their 20s to those in their 70s. The festivities kicked off at 6pm and continued well past 2am, making it a night to remember. Gabor and Jun, the hosts, spared no expense, ensuring the party was both extravagant and unforgettable.

The event was meticulously planned by a professional party planner, transforming the living room and kitchen into the main party areas. These spaces were beautifully flanked by an outdoor courtyard and an upstairs deck. I set up a portable remote Bose speaker on the deck and brought along my Bose L16 Pro system, which perfectly complemented the event with its impeccable sound clarity and bass response.

To cater to the diverse age group, I curated a versatile music set that resonated with everyone. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with many guests praising my music selection and seamless flow. They remarked that it felt as though I was reading their minds and playing exactly what they wanted to hear.
